and we’re out for blood!

will win the prize we as softball players covet the most:

Regarding ANDY SMITH... (Better Bitters)
Dear Mike, as you know Andy is going through the fight of his life and he has been receiving many e-mails from concerned fellow old timers expressing a wish to do something for him. So could you please as acting president put out a request to all your fellow old timers' baseball and hockey players to get on board for the blood drive in honour of Andy.
As part of Andy's treatment he receives blood and platelet transfusions twice a week and will continue to need these transfusions for maybe the next year. We would not want there to become a shortage of blood.
Also anyone wishing to sign up to become a bone marrow & stem cell transplant donor could go on line at www.onematch.ca. If all goes well Andy will be receiving an unrelated stem cell transplant in September from an anonymous donor, so we know the importance of this generous gift of life.
